Diana Kay McQueary (Minter), 79, died July 26, 2023 in Wichita, Kansas.
She was born April 19, 1944 in Wichita, Kansas, the only daughter of Frank D and Mary Geneva (Watkins) Minter.
She graduated from West High School in 1962 and Wichita Business School. She married Jesse Edward (Ed) McQueary August 8, 1964 in Wichita. The couple lived in Charleston, South Carolina until Ed completed his duty in the U.S. Navy; then returned to Wichita, Kansas where they started their family. In 1970 they moved to Oklahoma eventually residing in Broken Arrow. She worked many years as a medical billing manager before becoming the office manager for Jemco, the business her husband Ed opened in 1983. She continued to run the business after her husband's death, before she retired and moved back to Wichita in 2015. Ed and Diana spent many years enjoying a cabin they built at Lake Eufaula. The couple loved traveling and were able to see much of the U.S. (44 states), London, England, and the Caribbean. Diana continued to travel with her mother Geneva for several more years until their health declined.
Diana is preceded in death by her parents; husband Ed and brother Roger Minter. Survivors include her children Amanda (Kenneth) Lomax of Texhoma, OK, Douglas (Kelli) McQueary of Wichita, KS, four grandchildren; Corey (Hanna) Lomax, Jessica (CJ) Barnhill, Taylor McQueary, Kinley (Dane) Rausch and 5 great grandchildren, brothers; Darrell (Vonnie) Minter and Tom Minter and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Heart Association. Private services will be held.
