Judy graduated from Wichita West High School in 1962. Shortly after graduation, she married Keith Aaron Wright on June 2, 1962, in Wichita KS. They shared over 60 years of marriage before his passing on May, 6, 2023.
Judy was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed doing crafts and was an avid shopper. Judy loved singing with her husband, Keith. She was a big KU basketball fan.
Judy was a member of First Congregational Church, Hutchinson. She was also a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Kansas Old Time Fiddlers, Pickers, and Singers, and Delos V. Smith Senior Center.
Judy is survived by: her son, James ‘Jim’ Wright; granddaughter, Bridget Wright; great-grandson, Joshua Kuhr; and brother-in-law, David (Jenny) Wright.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; and brother, John W. Odil, Jr.
Funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2023, at First Congregational Church, 3410 N. Plum St., Hutchinson, KS 67502, with Pastor Matt Stafford officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, May 19, with family present from 5 to 7 p.m., at Elliott Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Gentiva Hospice, Prairie Sunset Home, or First Congregational Church, in care of Elliott Mortuary, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
The family requests those attending her service to please dress casually.
