Carolyn Lee Parnell Wendling passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025, with loved ones by her side.

She was born in Ohio when her dad was in the army, and raised in Wichita, KS., along with brothers: Jack, Dick and Bill. Siblings all graduated from West High in Wichita.
Passing before Carolyn were parent Helen and Jim Parnell and son Jim Wendling.

Survivors include brothers, daughter Jamie, 4 grandsons, and many nieces and nephews.

Carolyn loved dogs and learned to train them. She sewed for many babies. She loved people and The Lord. She was also an awesome foster mom and had a deep love for children.

Family wants to thank Phoenix Hospice and all the wonderful people at Grace Cottage where she lived the past 2 ½ years.

Please wear something pink at the funeral service in memory of mom.
