Linda Schlueter (Bass)

Linda Beth Schlueter (Bass), 58, died on August 3, 2003, in Georgetown, TX. Daughter of the late Arnold C. and Gladys Schlueter, she was born in Sioux Rapids, IA and spent much of her youth in Wichita, KS. At 19 she moved to Kansas City and began working at Hallmark Cards, Inc., where she established a career in organizational design, management and training. She earned her Bachelor's degree in business at UMKC while working full-time and raising two sons with her husband Jack L. Bass. Upon her retirement in 1999, they moved to Georgetown, TX. She enjoyed bridge, international travel, and volunteer work withSenior University.

In addition to her husband, Linda is survived by her son, Darren S. Bass, her daughter-in-law. robin and her twin grandchildren, Blake and Makenzie of McKinney, TX her son, Brian T. Bass of Denver, CO ; and her sister, Karen S. Budd of Oak Park, IL.

Memorial services will be conducted on Monday, August 11, 2003, at 10 am at Wellspring United Methodist church in Georgetown, TX. The family suggest donation to Hospice Austin's Christopher House, 4107 Spice Wood Springs Road, Suite 100 austin, TX 78759. (Arrangements: The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, Georgetown, TX. 512-869-8888.

Dorothy Howard (Tefft)

Linda Beth lived down the street from me and often on Sunday afternoon we would get together and played cards. Her mother enjoyed playing with us.  I had not been in contact with Linda since we graduated as my parents moved shortly after I graduated.  I often thought of Linda and have many memories.
