Carol and I had been friends since elementary school and remained very close friends through graduation. After I moved to Florida, we remained in touch and in the last 4 years of her life, we talked on the phone every single day that she was able. We shared so many wonderful memories during all of our conversations. She was always upbeat and rarely complained about how she felt. The last day that we got to talk, I had called her twice that day never realizing that it would be our last. She passed away two days later. Carol will be missed forever by me. She was a true and wonderful friend. Kay Ryan Marsh

I was so sorry to read on this reunion site about Carol's passing.  Some years back Carol and I got together once in awhile to catch up on our families.  Her health was deteriorating then.  My sympathy goes out to her family.

I knew Carol in high school, but really became friends in college at Kansas State.  We shared so many funny experiences like carrying a Christmas tree back from downtown Manhattan because the bus driver would not allow us on the city bus.  Carol had a wonderful sense of humor that could make so many things hysterically funny. We talked on the phone and whenever we did we always ended up laughing about silly things until we cried real tears.  I have kept in touch with her husband Ed and her children since her death.  I miss her so much.  Marjorie Wright Stephans

Carol and I became friends at Meridian Elementary school when we were in the third grade.   Carol was one of those friends you have for life.  Didn't make any difference how long the span of time between visits, you could pick up right where you left off...just like no time had passed.  I think of her often.  Carol had a beautiful voice.  I had the priviledge of having her sing the day I married my prince charming.  That is a moment in time,  that will never be forgotten.   Our mortality smacks us in the face, when we loose a life time friend.   Rest In Peace my dear friend.
